Been craving fish and chips nowadays and I kinda remembered that there’s one hidden fish&chips stall @ TAKASHIMAYA DEPARTMENT STORE Basement 2!
Its actually one unique stall located in the midst of the various stand-alone stalls at basement 2 and it’ll require some walking to find it. However it’ll be easy if you follow the smell of the freshly fried fish fillets!
This is one of the few fish&chips outlets I have tried in Singapore that I’d say that its good! Be it the atmosphere, the customer service and of course the food! The prices of the dishes are generally affordable and definitely reasonable! Take aways are available as well as dining in at the stall.
They actually have quite a few varieties of different main dishes to choose from - from beer battered fish&chips to grilled chicken. The latest promotion available are the set meals which includes a main course + drinks + soup of the day from S$11.90 - S$14.90.
Back to the main topic today - FISH & CHIPS! So we ordered their oh-so-famous BEER BATTERED FISH&CHIPS and BREADED FISH&CHIPS.
Beer Battered Fish & Chips - S$7.90
Breaded Fish & Chips - S$6.90
We can almost feel the excitement when they were preparing the fishes and its all worth the wait! Even though the portions looked small but they were equally filling. The fish fillets were well cooked and battered while the chips were equally awesome!
All together with the free for all tartar sauce and HEINZ tomato sauce (MY FAVORITE!!), its definitely a bonus for all fish&chips lovers!
The next time when you are hit with a hunger tsunami in Orchard, think FISHERIOS! I’ll definitely be back there again!
